Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My Fiancé hates having his photo taken and I am a bit nervous in front of the camera!
Totally get it. Most of us are not crazy about being in front of the camera, especially with a complete stranger. This is exactly why I offer a complimentary Engagement session with my 6 and 10 hour wedding packages. We have a bit of fun getting to know each other, so on the big day you’ve had a bit of practice posing and I find out what works and what your best angles are for the day. I pride myself in being an easygoing person who loves to make her clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. So be ready for a bit of fun and laughter when working with me.
Q: We are thinking of a beach wedding. Any suggestions for a stress free event?
Beach weddings are one of my absolute favourites. Choosing a location that is easily accessible for you and your guests is a great start. Depending on the location, check your tide times for King and High Tides. If you want those epic sunset shots before going to the reception, check your sunset time and add at least half hour to that as you often get the most beautiful light and colours just minutes after the sun sets.
Summer weddings along the Sunshine Coast can mean unexpected rain storms, so a Plan B is recommended if at all possible and always pack a few clear umbrellas just in case.
For extra peace of mind I offer a ‘Wild Weather Guarantee” with all my 10+ hour packages.
Q: Have you ever had to use your ‘Wild Weather Guarantee”?
Yes, once here on the Sunny Coast and once in Canada. We had a mini cyclone blow in unexpectedly a few years ago. It created a bit of stress but I assured the couple we would get those epic beach sunset shots they’d dreamed of. The bride had her hair and makeup redone a month later and we had a great afternoon on the beach. It was very relaxed as there was none of the ‘big day nerves’ and most people looking at the album don’t even realise the photos weren’t captured on the same day.
Q: How long should we allow for family/group & bridal party photos after the ceremony?
Depending on the size of your guest and bridal party, I generally recommend the following:
Elopements (up to 20 guests) – 1 - 1 ½ hours
Mid size (up to 80 guests) – 1½ to 2 ½ hours
Big Bash (100 + guests – 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours
If you want more than one location ie: Beach, golf course or farm field etc, remember to allow for extra travel to and from locations. I draw up a running schedule prior to the wedding day and collaborate with the couple, wedding planners or event coordinators for the best results.
What happens if we go into a Covid19 Lockdown on our wedding day?
In the unfortunate event of a Covid19 Lockdown, we simply rebook my services to a date that is mutually agreed upon by both parties, within a 12 month period.
If you decide to downsize to an Elopement Package, you will be refunded the difference of fee's already paid.
If I am unable to perform the services due to conflicting dates, then a full refund less a $330.00 fee will be given. This covers the Engagement session already provided and a small Administration fee.
Q: Do we have to pay the photography fee in full or can we pay it off?
Yes, after the initial $500.00 deposit to secure the date, I offer my couples the opportunity to pay the remaining balance off with monthly instalments prior to the wedding day.
(example: Amount outstanding divided by the amount of months to the wedding day)
The final payment is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding.
All my Wedding Packages come with a full
30 Day Money Back Guarantee from the date the deposit is paid, if you change your mind for any reason.
